Warning: Java plugins are not supported by the Edge browser. This is why you cannot use Java with the proprietary Windows browser. Before Installing Java
Before installing Java in Windows 11, ensure it’s not already installed on your computer. This saves you valuable time, and you can start using Java immediately. To do this:
- Check which programs are installed in Windows.

- Step 2: Determine if you need “x64 Compressed Archive” in ZIP format, “x64 Installer” in EXE format or “x64 MSI Installer” MSI format file. Accept the license agreement to start and complete the download.
